A classic Reposado Tequila infused with six varieties of chili oils.

Distillery La Cofradia is the producer of sixty-eight active Tequila brands — far too many to list here. Appropriately, they are located in the town of Tequila in Jalisco State and have been producing there for more than fifty years. They have grown to become one of the largest producers and exporters of Tequila in Mexico.

Pepper Cured Tequila Reposado is all about the flavor. Its a real, 100% Blue Agave Tequila rested three to six months in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at about 35% ABV. But what sets it apart is that it is infused with six varieties of native chili peppers - including jalapeño, serrano, and habanero. This infusion is not “just” about spice. The kick is definitely there, but they are really going for the flavor combinations. The combination of peppers yields fruity, sweet, and smoky notes as well. And although it’s most often served neat, we think that it makes a great base for spicy margaritas. Ole!

Not bad neat or on the rocks, but the pepper dryness gives it a dusty edge, in my opinion. This really shone in a margarita. Didn't have to get fancy, just simple whole ingredients (lime, half as much Grand Marnier as Tequila, and the tiniest dash of simple syrup - shaken over ice) and got a fantastic, spicy margarita.
